China Focus has been the price and quality leader in first class travel to China since 1991. We’re a brand that Americans can trust. One of the keys to our success is our unique quality control system. Not only do we monitor our tours on a daily basis and work around the clock to resolve any issues that may arise to ensure you have a perfect vacation, but we send our employees to China once in a while to ensure the quality of our tours. Nothing is perfect, but China Focus has never stopped pursuing perfection.
Quality Control 24/7 ServiceIn case of an emergency, our English speaking national/local guide is required to provide his/her phone/room number for you to contact him/her in each city. You can also call
Tony Yang, our Quality Control Supervisor's cell phone at: 0132-1055-7236 if your national/local guide is unable to solve the problem you encounter anytime anywhere in China.

National and Local Guides Handpicked
As
known by all seasonal travelers, tour guides play a very important role in ensuring a joyful, worry-free, yet informative, and successful trip. Through great efforts for many years, China Focus has built up a great team of professional national guides and local
guides. Our guides are handpicked (very few tour operators are able
to do so), therefore travelers are able to designate a guide beforehand.
We select our local/national guides based on these qualifications:
1. Good command of English.
2. Knowledge of China and experience as a tour guide.
3. Hospitality to customers and abides by our company policies.
If a guide
continually receives a low rating, we will investigate and take the
proper action to either suspend or terminate him/her. The related local
travel agents who provide the guide service will face being suspended
or terminated as well.
Feedback
We ask all of our customers to rate hotels, guides, drivers, meals, etc. Whenever a certain person/place receives repetitive complaints, we take immediate action to investigate and resolve the issue so that we do not compromise our quality. We are appreciated for your comments, ratings and any suggestions to improving our work. We are confident that with help of all parties concerned China Focus will always lead the industry both in price and quality.
Hotel Selection
When selecting hotels, we aim at choosing one that supports your
comfort level more than luxury, but we always make sure it’s a 4 or
5-star hotel. Unfortunately, even 5-star internationally rated hotels might deteriorate after a year or two due to the surrounding environment, poor management plus catering to many Chinese domestic travelers. Hotels that receive repetitive poor ratings are given warnings to improve. If the hotel has not done so after 3 warnings, it will be replaced by a hotel of equal class or higher.
Meal Selection
Most meals are included in the tour package. Breakfast is American served buffet-style at the hotel. Lunches and dinners are Chinese served family-style because we want each traveler to have an opportunity to experience local flavors, which vary in each city. We use tourist class restaurants, meaning they are an approved sanitary dining facility. They’re not only used for first class tours (such as ours), but also the luxury groups that paid much more for their tour (elsewhere). Fast food will be provided as a substitute lunch once for tours between 7-15 days, twice for tours between 18-20 days and 3 times for the 29-day tour. In 2010, we plan to reform to a lighter lunch and use that allowance towards a more enriching dinner.
Shopping Policy
Unfortunately, shopping stops are unavoidable with any company that runs tours to China. However, we are the only company to limit them. Here are the following stops you will experience while on our tours:
