You are allowed 2 check-in luggage for international flights and only 1 domestic flights in China. The first additional check-in luggage fee is $70. You are also allowed allow 1 carry-on bag, plus 1 personal bag
For international flights, check-in luggage must not exceed 50 lbs, nor exceed 62 linear inches (height+width+depth).
For domestic China flights, check-in luggage must not exceed 44 lbs, nor exceed 62 linear inches (height+width+depth).
Each piece of carry-on luggage shall not exceed 15 lbs nor exceed the maximum dimensions of 55 cm (long) x 40 cm (wide) x 20 cm (high).
A personal bag can be a backpack, camera bag, computer bag, or purse. It must fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead bin. Any item that exceeds the size or weight limits or the number of items allowed per passenger will be required to travel as checked baggage.
Individuals are responsible for their own excess luggage fees.
Your check-in bag(s) should be left unlocked since airport security in the U.S. requires easy access to search your bag(s).
If you are uncomfortable leaving your bag(s) unlocked, according to the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) security procedures, you must purchase a TSA approved lock. It cannot be locked with a regular lock because airport security does not have the master key to open plain locks. Click here for examples of TSA approved locks.
If you are comfortable with leaving your bags unlocked, we highly recommend bringing regular locks with you to lock your bags at airports/train stations in China (only the main compartment, not the extra zippers/pockets surrounding the bag). This recommendation is to protect valuables in your bag from being lost while out of your possession.
For carry-on luggage, each traveler is allowed a one bag limit to the total volume of liquids, aerosols and gels. The bag is limited to one quart-sized, clear plastic, zip-top bag and liquids must be in a 3.4 ounce (100ml) bottle or less (by volume). Consolidating products into one bag and X-raying them separately from the carry-on bag enables security officers to quickly clear all items.
Any claims on damaged, lost or stolen baggage must be filed on the spot with the transportation company. China Focus Travel is not responsible for damage, lost, or stolen luggage.
